Position Title: Commis / Assistant Cook
Reports to: Demi Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and talented
Commis to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Commis, your key role is to support the kitchen team in the preparation of high-quality dishes and to help deliver an unforgettable dining experience to our guests through flavorful and visually appealing meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to restaurant standards, ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Hygiene and Food Safety: Follow all hygiene and food safety regulations, including proper food handling and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Learning and Development: Actively learn from more experienced team members and adopt new culinary techniques and skills.
- Stock Control: Support the monitoring of ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies in coordination with the Demi Chef de Partie and Sous Chef.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to maintain service consistency and quality.
- Team Support: Assist in training new team members and provide support to other cooks when needed.
