The role is primarily to develop, implement, and manage Portonovi’s social media strategy and content creation across all digital platforms. The Social Media Manager / Content Creator is responsible for producing engaging, on-brand content that enhances Portonovi’s online presence, drives engagement, and communicates the resort’s unique value to a global audience.
Responsibilities
· Provide subject matter expertise on social media trends, best practices, and platform algorithms, educating business stakeholders as needed
· Create, curate, and publish high-quality content (text, images, video, stories, reels, etc.) for all social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and emerging platforms
· Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content calendar in line with the overall marketing strategy and content plan
· Monitor, moderate, and engage with the online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and brand-appropriate manner
· Collaborate with the marketing team, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and external agencies to ensure cohesive and impactful campaigns
· Analyse social media performance using analytics tools, preparing regular reports and recommendations for optimisation
· Stay up to date with the latest digital and social media trends, tools, and technologies, proactively suggesting new ideas and formats
· Manage paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking
· Ensure all content adheres to Portonovi’s brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and visual identity
· Be a brand ambassador for Portonovi, both online and offline, representing the resort’s values and standards
· Perform all other tasks and duties assigned by the direct superior
Qualifications
· Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands, preferably in luxury, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors
· Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms
· Proficiency in content creation tools and social media management platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
· Experience with photography and video production/editing for social media use
· Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly
· Highly organised, creative, and results-oriented
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
· Avid user of social media, with a passion for digital trends and innovation
