About the Role
As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across all kitchen and back-of-house areas. You will lead and motivate the stewarding team, ensuring smooth daily operations and full compliance with health, safety, and company standards. You will oversee cleaning schedules, manage equipment and chemical usage, monitor stock of supplies, and support the culinary and service teams to ensure an efficient and well-organized working environment. Key Requirements
- Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen operations, preferably in a supervisory role within hospitality or restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP or similar hygiene standards).
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a stewarding team while maintaining high performance and discipline.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure all cleaning schedules and operational tasks are completed efficiently.
- Experience in managing cleaning equipment, chemicals, and stewarding supplies, including stock control.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining the highest hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment and support culinary and service teams during busy operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with chefs and restaurant management.
- Basic understanding of health, safety, and workplace regulations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required in hospitality operations.
