Role Purpose
The Marketing Operations Manager serves as the key marketing account lead for the Retail, Leisure & Hospitality, and Events (and occasionally, the shipyard) verticals within Porto Montenegro.
This role bridges strategic marketing direction and on-ground implementation, ensuring that each business unit’s marketing objectives are achieved through well-planned, brand-consistent, and commercially effective initiatives.
The position requires strong coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills — acting as the primary liaison between the Marketing Department and operational units to deliver integrated campaigns, promotions, and destination experiences that support sales, visitation, and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and align marketing strategies with business objectives across Retail, Leisure & Hospitality, and Events.
- Translate commercial goals into actionable, brand-consistent marketing plans and campaigns.
- Plan and execute 360° marketing initiatives to drive footfall, visitation, bookings, and event attendance.
- Manage campaign timelines, approvals, and production of marketing materials.
- Oversee marketing budgets and provide regular performance and ROI reporting.
- Lead marketing and communication efforts for events and seasonal programs.
- Evaluate post-campaign and post-event performance to guide continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business units to ensure cohesive destination-wide communications.

Qualifications & Skills
- A university degree in Marketing, Business or related field with a marketing foundation.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing management, account management, or brand operations, ideally within luxury retail, hospitality, or destination marketing.
- Strong understanding of the marketing mix, brand positioning, and customer engagement strategies.
- Proven experience in campaign planning, budget management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and content production processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Fluency in English is required; Montenegrin/Serbian is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work on-site during key events and activations.
