Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director and Head Teacher to lead our Reception/Year 1 group while overseeing the broader academic and team development at Kidspace. This is a leadership role for someone who is hands-on, values-driven, and eager to shape the direction of an early years program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Reception/Year 1 classroom
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of teachers
- Train, onboard, and support new staff members
- Develop and implement the academic vision and direction of the school
- Ensure high-quality delivery of EYFS or IB-based curriculum
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and communicate regularly
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and values-driven school culture
- Continuously evaluate and improve teaching standards and learning outcomes
Requirements
- Degree in Preschool Education or a related field
- Native or C1 level of English.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EYFS and/or IB programmes
- Proven leadership experience in an early years setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A natural ability to lead with kindness, empathy, and integrity
- Proactive mindset and willingness to take on challenges
- Desire to grow professionally and advance in their career
- Availability to relocate and start by mid-June at the latest
