This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to anticipate guest needs. Butler acts as the primary point of contact for high-profile guests and is expected to provide seamless, intuitive, and anticipatory service at all times.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a smooth, private, and personalized check-in and check-out process.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all guest needs and requests, ensuring total satisfaction throughout the stay.
- Coordinate and provide personalized services such as unpacking/packing, pressing, shoe shining, wake-up calls, and room arrangements.
- Arrange and confirm reservations, transfers, in-room dining, spa appointments, and special requests.
- Liaise with housekeeping, in-room dining, concierge, and other departments to ensure guest preferences are met.
- Maintain guest history, preferences, and special occasions for future reference and seamless repeat visits.
- Uphold confidentiality, discretion, and privacy at all times.
- Monitor and ensure impeccable cleanliness and order in the guest's suite.
- Ensure delivering turn-down service and personalized amenities as per standard and guest preferences.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, empathy, and prompt resolution. Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction.
- Assist with responsibilities and duties due to heavy volume in the areas of the Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Staff, and lobby coverage.
Qualifications
Experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort setting as a butler or similar guest-facing role.
Fluency in English and Arabic is a must; knowledge of additional languages is a strong advantage.
Discreet, polished, and professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of food and beverage service, wine, and in-room amenities is an advantage.
