Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay is a newly opened resort and the first Mövenpick property in Montenegro, set on the beachfront of the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor. Job Description:
The Director of Sales is a pivotal senior leadership position carrying full accountability across all market segments, leading and inspiring a high-performing sales team, and building lasting relationships with partners across Europe and beyond. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Sales develops and executes the commercial strategy that maximizes revenue, market share and profitability, while embodying the resort's values of excellence and refined luxury at every client touchpoint.
Working in close partnership with Revenue Management and Marketing & Communications, the Director of Sales leads the commercial strategy that turns the resort's brand and market position into measurable revenue across every segment.
What you will be doing:
Commercial & Executive Leadership
– As a member of the hotel's Executive Committee, contribute to the overall business plan, annual budget and property strategy, representing the commercial function in leadership decision-making
– Define and lead the resort's commercial positioning and competitive strategy within the Bay of Kotor and the wider Adriatic luxury set
– Chair the hotel's commercial focus meeting, aligning Sales, Revenue Management and Marketing & Communications behind one commercial strategy
– Represent the hotel's commercial interests to ownership and to Accor's regional and global commercial, distribution and loyalty teams
– Leverage Accor's Global Sales network and ALL – Accor Live Limitless to extend market reach
Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
– Develop and implement the hotel's annual sales strategy, aligned with business objectives and budget targets
– Drive consistent revenue growth across all segments: corporate, leisure, MICE, groups and direct bookings
– Maximize ADR, RevPAR, occupancy and channel-mix efficiency
– Identify new market opportunities and revenue streams
– Optimize distribution and e-commerce performance, partnering with Revenue Management and Marketing & Communications
– Own the Sales budget and lead segment forecasting in partnership with Revenue Management
Market Segment Expertise
– Build and defend share across corporate, leisure, groups, MICE and the luxury travel trade
– Anticipate market shifts and adjust segment strategy and pricing inputs accordingly, in partnership with Revenue Management
Team Leadership & Development
– Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to meet and exceed targets
– Set clear objectives, mentor talent and build succession within the team
– Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with the resort's service standards
Client Relationship Management
– Build and steward key accounts and trade partnerships
– Oversee contract negotiations and account-management initiatives
– Represent the property at trade shows, sales missions, industry events and networking functions
Reporting & Analytics
– Prepare and manage annual commercial budgets, forecasts and performance reports
– Track conversion and performance against KPIs; report deviations and corrective actions
– Uphold brand and commercial standards and ensure ethical, compliant handling of client and guest data
– Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and maximize cross-selling
Qualifications:
– Minimum 7 years of progressive sales experience within luxury 5-star hospitality, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
– Proven track record across all market segments: corporate, leisure, groups, MICE and luxury travel trade
– Demonstrated ability to generate, manage and convert revenue across multiple international markets
– A strong existing network across corporate and luxury travel sectors is highly desirable
– Strong understanding of revenue management and market analytics
– Exceptional commercial acumen with a strategic mindset and a proactive, results-driven approach
– Outstanding interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills, balanced with a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude
– Fluent English and BCMS; additional languages are a plus
– Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration or a related field, or three additional years of relevant sector experience in lieu
– High level of integrity and professional ethics; team-oriented, leads by example, and mentors and elevates those around them
– Proficient in hospitality systems, Microsoft Office, and relevant financial/reporting tools
– Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required, and to travel as needed for business development
