Role DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team in Podgorica.
This is a full-time, on-site position. The ideal candidate will be a near-native or native English speaker with experience in IB and/or IGCSE frameworks, and a commitment to fostering linguistic growth and cultural awareness in students.
The ESL Teacher will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering engaging ESL lessons tailored to diverse student needs and proficiency levels.
- Supporting students in developing academic English skills across reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Incorporating inquiry-based and student-centered teaching practices aligned with IB and IGCSE methodologies.
- Preparing students for international exams (e.g., IELTS, IGCSE English as a Second Language).
- Assessing student progress, providing timely feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
- Contributing to curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects within the English department.
- Creating an inclusive, motivating, and supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and communication.
Qualifications- Near-native or native proficiency in English.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Experience with IB and/or IGCSE programs highly preferred.
- Master’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, or a related field (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or Linguistics (required).
- Certifications such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA are an advantage.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
