PAID MNE is a deeptech fintech company from Podgorica building PAIDT - a context-aware, adaptive AI system for financial markets, focused on real-time risk management and trading decision support. This is not a concept-stage startup:
- Our system manages €1.1M in live capital across proprietary trading firm accounts
- We are two-time recipients of competitive EuroHPC access awards to one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers, where we've run 5+ million trading simulations
- Our simulation methodology is documented in a peer-reviewed publication (IEEE)
- We hold official Innovation Activity status from the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro
We are now building PAIDT v5- the next generation of the system: an AI-driven risk overlay, a contextual trading intelligence suite with an embeddable API layer, and an integrated AI risk & trading co-pilot - taking the platform from a validated internal engine to a commercial, institution-grade product.
The role
We're expanding our core team with a Software Engineer - someone who can own the software stack end-to-end: from AI/ML models and core algorithms, through backend services and data pipelines, to production APIs and integrations. You'll work directly with the CTO and the scientific lead, and as the team grows you'll be expected to set engineering standards, review code, and mentor the developers around you.
- What you'll do: Design, build, and own core components of PAIDT v5: the adaptive AI core, signal engine, risk overlay modules, and the RESTful Embedded AI Layer for integration with client platforms (OMS/EMS, trading platforms, banking apps)
- Implement, test, and productionize ML modelsfor financial time series - from prototype to validated, deployed model
- Develop and maintain Python backend services (FastAPI microservices) and the data pipeline for high-frequency OHLC market data - acquisition, cleaning, storage, integrity
- Run and optimize large-scale backtesting and parameter-optimization workloads on our supercomputing infrastructure
- Integrate with trading infrastructure: MetaTrader 4/5, TradingView, Darwinex
- Establish engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, documentation, code review
- Contribute to architectural decisions and, over time, lead the development team
Must-have:Excellent Python - this is the core of everything we do (5+ years or demonstrably equivalent depth)
- Hands-on machine learning experience - you've trained, evaluated, and shipped models in practice (TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch), not just followed tutorials
- Strong grounding in algorithms and data structures - you can reason about complexity and write performant code, not just working code
- Solid mathematical background - statistics, probability, time-series analysis; you're comfortable reading a quantitative spec and turning it into correct code
- Understanding of software architecture - modular design, APIs, microservices, and the trade-offs between them
- Ability to work independently and take ownership - you'll often be the one who decides how
- English (working proficiency); B/H/S/M for daily communication
Nice-to-have:Trading experience - crypto, forex, commodities, or equities; retail or professional; understanding of price action, order execution, spreads, slippage
- Deep learning for time series - recurrent architectures (LSTM/GRU) or Transformers
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor or similar) - we expect modern tooling to be part of how you work, not a novelty
- HPC or large-scale parallel computing experience (SLURM, MPI), or strong Linux/CLI skills
- Cloud infrastructure (GCP or similar), Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- SQL/NoSQL databases
What we offer:A rare setup: a compact team, real capital on the line, supercomputing resources at your disposal, and an EU-grade R&D agenda
- Direct collaboration with a CTO and scientific lead with published HPC/AI research
- Opportunity to co-author research publications
- Competitive salary aligned with seniority
- Clear growth path to technical leadership as the team scales
- Modern hardware and tooling (including dedicated NVIDIA AI hardware planned for local model training)
How to apply: Send your CV and -more importantly anything that shows how you think: a GitHub profile, a project you're proud of, a trading bot you hacked together at 2am. Write to: info@paid-t.com using the option KONKURIŠITE with the subject "Software Engineer"
Only candidates selected for the next stage of the recruitment process will be contacted
