HR Coordinator
Remote | Full-Time | EST Hours | Independent Contractor
Pay: C$1,500-$1800/month (based on experience)
We’re hiring an HR Coordinator to help us keep our hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and training processes organized, efficient, and on track.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up with people to make sure deadlines, documents, and training requirements are completed properly. You will play a key role in ensuring new hires have a smooth onboarding experience and are fully prepared before being transitioned to their manager for role-specific training.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires from offer acceptance through training handoff
- Ensure all new hires complete required onboarding documents, company training, quizzes, and foundational setup steps on time
- Track training completion and follow up with new hires to ensure deadlines are met
- Coordinate offboarding processes for resignations and terminations
- Prepare and organize onboarding and offboarding documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records and internal HR trackers
- Communicate with new hires, managers, and internal team members regarding onboarding status, missing items, deadlines, and next steps
- Help ensure a clean, professional, and well-organized employee experience from start to finish
- Escalate delays, missing documents, or onboarding issues when needed
- Support general HR coordination and people operations tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in HR coordination, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment coordination, people operations, or a similar role
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without letting things fall through the cracks
- Professional written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline
- Comfortable following up persistently and professionally with candidates, employees, and managers
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
- Confident using spreadsheets, internal trackers, and online systems to monitor progress and completion
Work Schedule
- Full-time remote role
- Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours
Technical Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 16GB RAM minimum
- Stable internet connection with at least 100 Mbps speed
- Noise-canceling headset
- Webcam
- Dual monitors
