The Chedi Luštica Bay is the first of seven hotels within the beautiful Luštica Bay. Set on the front line of the marina, it provides a unique experience of waterfront living. Receptionist
Front Office Department
Reporting to: Assistant Front Office Manager
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for checking-in and checking-out of hotel guests in a friendly and caring manner
- Must display a professional and positive image of the hotel as playing a crucial role in first and last impression of the Hotel
- Operational knowledge of Leading Quality Assurance and Forbes Luxury Hospitality standards
- Check in the arriving guest and check out the departing guests according to LQA and Forbes Standards
- Ensure that LQA results are above 90%
- Ensure that Forbes standards are properly implemented
- Upon check in, register guest and assign rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services and activities in the Hotel
- Upon check out, process all procedures and last minute charges and receive payment from guests
- Handle all FO cashier transactions
- Answer all guest questions and inquiries in a friendly and caring manner, following appropriate actions or refer the matters to the relevant persons to handle
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying them of late check outs, early check ins and any special requests
- In the absence of a night supervisor, work night shifts
- Communicate with guests at the reception, demonstrating a positive image and appropriate product knowledge
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Traits
- High School related to Tourism and Hospitality is preferred
- Hotel Internships or previous Front Office experiences are advantages
- 1 year experience is in customer services positions is highly preferred
- Operational knowledge of hotel and FO operations
- Friendly and engaging personality
- Superb communications skills
- Advanced and fluent use of English (additional languages are a big asset)
- Knowledge of PMS Opera is an advantage
- Knowledge of basics in Microsoft Office
