Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager (CFO) to join our senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of MFI Monte Credit, overseeing budgeting, planning, accounting, and treasury management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management within the microfinance or similar sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance department, including the accounting department, ensuring efficient organization of business processes;
- Oversee accounting functions, liquidity management, and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements;
- Develop and implement financial manuals and procedures;
- Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and senior leadership team, including the development of financial projections;
- Prepare and approve the Company's financial statements and reports;
- Monitor and report on the company's financial performance to the Board of Directors;
- Participate as a regular member of the Assets and Liabilities Management Committee (ALCO);
- Manage communications with creditors, identifying potential partners, negotiating agreements, and fostering collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level VII degree in economics, banking, business administration, or finance; At least 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly advanced spreadsheet skills (Microfinance or banking experience preferred);
- Fluent in English;
- Strong understanding of treasury management;
- Proven ability to implement new systems and inspire employees to adapt to changes.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role at our headquarters in Podgorica.
- Occasional travel within Montenegro or internationally for board meetings, training, conferences, or team building activities.
