Senior Payment Specialist
City: Podgorica or Belgrade
Role Summary:
The Senior Payment Specialist is responsible for developing and optimizing the payment strategy with the goal of maximizing deposits, increasing conversion rates and enhancing the overall payment ecosystem through the introduction of new solutions and partnerships.
This role has a direct impact on revenue (GGR/NGR) through ownership of the deposit funnel and payment performance. It also requires a strong understanding of market needs and the ability to proactively identify emerging payment opportunities relevant to each market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute market-specific payment strategies to drive deposit growth and revenue (GGR/NGR).
- Optimize the deposit funnel, including UX, success rates, and payment method availability.
- Improve payment conversion rates and increase the share of key payment methods.
- Monitor and manage performance of all payment channels (cards, e-wallets, local providers).
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new local and international payment providers.
- Lead end-to-end integration of new payment methods in collaboration with Product & IT teams.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with payment providers.
- Continuously test and implement new payment solutions using A/B testing approaches.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Product, IT, and Risk & Fraud teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, optimize payment costs (fees, routing), and balance growth with risk control.
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years of experience in: iGaming industry, banking, fintech or eCommerce (payment-heavy environments).
- Proven experience in optimizing payment processes or funnels.
- Solid understanding of the payment ecosystem (cards, e-wallets, local methods)
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in English.
- If not based in the target market, willingness to travel (Montenegro and Bosnia).
