Job Summary:
The Head of Social Media is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that promotes brand awareness, engages target audiences, and drives business results. This includes managing social media teams, developing content calendars, and analysing social media performance metrics. The Head of Social Media will also collaborate with other departments within the organisation, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure that social media efforts are aligned with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that effectively promotes brand awareness and engages target audiences across all relevant social media channels.
- Manage social media teams, including hiring and training social media staff and providing guidance and support to team members.
- Develop content calendars and content plans that ensure a consistent flow of high-quality content across all social media channels.
- Create and curate social media content, including text, images, and videos, that aligns with brand messaging and marketing objectives.
- Manage social media accounts and communities, including monitoring comments and messages, responding to customer inquiries, and engaging with followers.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to align social media efforts with overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences and understand consumer behaviour and preferences.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure that social media efforts are executed on time and on budget.
- Analyse social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, and conversion rates, and use data to inform future social media strategies.
- Continuously test and optimise social media campaigns to improve performance and increase engagement.
- Stay up-to-date on social media marketing best practices and trends, and incorporate new ideas and strategies into social media marketing campaigns.
