Management and staff in Tungsten Automation's Quality Assurance job family help the company to assure that its products and technology solutions are designed and built in accordance with company standards and customer requirements. The position of QA Analyst is a core, entry-level departmental role and appointees are expected to perform whole core departmental tasks; albeit more basic tasks by comparison to Senior Developers/Specialists and above.
QA Analysts will perform some of the following work and be involved in other aspects, as assigned :
- Work as a QA Analyst testing, analyzing, and ensuring the quality of our Workflow AP Invoicing and related content management solutions.
- Work closely with the development, product and support teams on design and development of new features and/or product bug fixes.
- Assist the team in analyzing and monitoring the performance of our software.
- Execute, create, and maintain test plans/test cases:
- Developing and maintaining automated test programs and scripts
- Developing and executing against detailed test procedures and test cases
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners to resolve problems and identify root causes of potential defects
- Evaluating and reporting on test execution results
- Working within team and across departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and maintain quality assurance testing processes and practices; continuously contributing to streamlined, more effective and efficient quality assurance testing
- Contributing, as appropriate, to downstream business activities such as technical publications and other technical communications’ tool development to ensure streamlined and effective end-user use of Tungsten Automation software products and their applications
- Through efficient and effective quality assurance testing standards, tools, techniques and execution, helping Core Engineering and other cross-functional partners to maximize the potential for new or updated releases to be completed on-time, on-target, on-budget and without compromise to quality
- Supporting other internal and external partners/stakeholders/customers, as and when appropriate, in responding to quality assurance testing inquiries and/or other ad hoc needs
- Staying abreast of industry and field developments; remaining current in the latest quality assurance testing technologies and functionalities, as well as ever-evolving needs of customers and their customers

Required Skills
- Work schedule: US Eastern time.
- 2 years’ experience with testing web-based software (executing/creating test plans, analyzing results, reporting issues).
- Experience with Accounts Payable or finance software solution testing preferred.
- Understanding of Relational Databases and SQL language (SQL Server or Oracle).
- Experience using Microsoft and Oracle database client tools (SQL editor and graphical tools).
- Windows Server administration experience (event log, message queuing, scheduled tasks, services manager, IIS Web serve etc.).
- Must have strong PC skills including Microsoft Office tools.
- Optional but nice to have:
- Experience with other workflow software solutions
- Experience with content management solutions.
- Experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards E1 or SAP would be a big plus.
- Atlassian Jira experience, or similar defect management solution.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred
- Typically has 2 to 5 years of relevant technical experience
