The Ontario Craft Cider Association is a non-profit member-based organization of over 50 cider producers dedicated to ensuring that Ontario is recognized for cider excellence and innovation. Drink Ontario Apples™ is a marketing program sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness. The program and its logo help consumers identify apple cider products made with 100% Ontario Apples with a concise and clear call to action to “Drink Ontario Apples”.
We are seeking a dynamic Social Media Coordinator to support our digital marketing campaign. This is a flexible, part-time contract role ideal for an early-career professional who is passionate about storytelling, content creation and building engaged online communities.
Reporting to the Marketing Director and Creative Director, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to share the Drink ON Apples™ message across social platforms, share member content and promote the digital Ontario Craft Cider Trail.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and execute a digital content calendar aligned with campaign direction
· Create compelling content including graphics, photography and short-form video, supported by clear, engaging copy and a consistent brand voice.
· Attend events and visit member businesses to capture photo and short-form video content
· Grow engagement and build online community by responding to comments and messages
· Maintain and update content on our digital tourism platform (website)
· Organize and manage photo and video library
· Prepare regular social media and digital performance reports, including insights and recommendations for optimization
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent practical experience (1 – 3 years)
· Demonstrated success in short-form content creation on Instagram, Facebook and others, including photography and video
· Excellent writing and storytelling skills
· Experience with social media scheduling tools and analytics platforms
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
· Experience in the craft alcohol beverage, hospitality, or tourism sector is considered an asset
· Valid Ontario Driver’s license an asset
Additional Details:
· Part-time contract position subject to a three-month probationary period
· Flexible working hours anticipated to be 15 – 20 hours per week
· Candidates must provide their own laptop and basic content creation tools (e.g., smartphone)
